Based on the number of prestigious citations of its articles, Intersections. East European Journal of Society and Politics has been ranked in the second quartile (Q2) for 2019 by SCImago Journal Ranking (SJR) for the second time after 2018.

The interdisciplinary social science journal founded by the Centre for Social Sciences five years ago is 58th out of 579 in the category ‘social sciences’. It is 4th out of 35 in the category ‘law’, and it is 17th out of 99 in the region in the fields of sociology and political science. Intersections has taken the third place among the 33 social science journals published in Hungary, and it is the first in the joint categories of sociology and political science.

Intersections. East European Journal of Society and Politics is an English language double blind peer reviewed open access online journal. It mainly publishes thematic special issues, but also accepts individual papers, and aims to analyse the major social trends of the region in a global context combining high professional standards with timely content.
